Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, manages all facets of medical billing accounts receivable including: billing, and collections workflow and processes. This individual must possess previous experience in Managing Clinic Billing, Credentialing and all aspects of a multispecialty provider practice. Preferably someone that has their CPC or certification in Physician Billing. This individual insures an excellent image of Sunnyside Community Hospital and Clinics and must be able to effectively communicate and be able to exercise good judgment. Apply Today!

  1. Experience: Minimum three years’ experience within a multi physician clinic or Centralized Business Office
  2. Education: High school diploma/GED required. Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college preferred.
  3. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong skills in payer credentialing, electronic billing, collections, cash posting and coding required in a clinic setting. Strong computer skills including Excel required; must type 50+ WPM with accuracy. Outstanding customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communications, ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills required. Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, bankruptcy laws, and medical terminology preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  4. Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: AAHAM or HFMA Certification and Coding certification Preferred

JOB SUMMARY

Serves as the supervisor for Sunnyside Business Office as it relates to clinic financial operations. Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, manages all facets of clinic accounts receivable including: Cash posting, billing, physician coding, collections workflow and processes. This individual must possess exceptional human relation skills with regard to supervision of staff, patient interface, and direct contact. This individual will assist the Business Office Manager in developing and maintaining policies and procedures. This individual insures an excellent image of Sunnyside Community Hospital and Clinics and must be able to effectively communicate and be able to exercise good judgment.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires good manual and finger dexterity to operate computers, phones, and handle documents. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
