Clinic Manager – Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Podiatry, Pain Management

The Vancouver Clinic is the largest multi-specialty physician practice group in SW Washington where the professional staff builds lifetime relationships with our patients. We are looking for an energetic, experienced professional to lead a team of staff providing compassionate medical care. The manager will oversee the daily operations of specialty departments of Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Podiatry and Pain Management. Requires in-depth experience w/ developing business objectives, budgets, and financials. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of management experience in a medical office setting. Prefer those with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As a vital member of our team, the Clinic Manager is responsible for the overall direction and management of the assigned departments. This direction and management must be consistent with the policies, objectives, practice standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, organizing, applying, directing, controlling, and evaluating all resources invested in the organization.

Management of Clinic Operations: Manages daily operations and responsibilities of the “throughput” within each assigned module. Act as the first level, go to person for the providers and staff and patients regarding troubleshooting issues. Ability to develop and articulate goals designed to promote organizational strategies. Facilitate, support, and promote patient satisfaction initiatives throughout the department and the Clinic as whole.

Personnel Development and Supervision: Manages all aspects of hiring, orientation, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and compliance with Clinic policies and procedures. Must have the ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff.

Communication: Establishes effective working relationships with staff, patients, providers, customers, vendors, managers and staff in administrative and support departments.

The successful candidate will have at least two years experience managing in a healthcare environment, preferably in an ambulatory care, multi-specialty setting. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field of study. Ability to coordinate activities within the specialties spanning multiple sites. Understanding of laws and clinic policies to increase staff satisfaction. Ability to analyze and evaluate budget performance to achieve financial expectations.
