Pharmacy Director, Monroe, WA
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this member of the EvergreenHealth Monroe Leadership Team ensures that safe medication practices are delivered to all patients in accordance with federal and state law and regulatory standards. Responsible for medication management throughout the hospital and affiliated clinics. Responsible for Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee to include formulary management, DUE and ADR reporting and analysis. Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies. Participates in Quality Improvement and Quality Control. Maintains department administration including scheduling and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
SKILLS and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to organize efficiently. Good interpersonal skills; good verbal and written communication abilities, and good computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, interpersonal, organizational skills. Efficiently and effectively organize, plan, implement, facilitate and evaluate various teams and projects. Gather and assess information, analyze and present data. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and conduct job functions in a professional manner.
Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Interns.
PharmD preferred, current WA State Pharmacist (PH) and Pharmacist Preceptor licenses in good standing, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic LIfe Support (BLS) certification.
