This position is at our Tacoma Specialty Medical Center. The position requires a BSN prepared RN.
The Tacoma Specialty Medical Center is located in the growing South King County area in the heart of the Tacoma medical district and high tech core. This facility encompasses multi-specialty services, including a 24/7 urgent care, outpatient surgery center and an outpatient diagnostic and treatment services.
The Clinical Operations Manager (COM) leads, directs and supports the clinical operations in multiple specialties to include: Allergy, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Oncology and Infusion Center under the leadership of the RDO, MCA or MCM. The COM works closely with the providers and other medical center leaders to assure implementation of clinical, ancillary, and business services in a way that meets or exceeds standards while providing an excellent patient experience across all services.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree Nursing
Masters Degree Nursing
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Intermediate Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, develop and engage staff, monitor performance standards, deliver results, and hold staff accountable. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise. Effective communication, collaboration and change management skills. Financial management skills.
Intermediate Knowledge of regulatory requirements, managed care, health care delivery systems and nursing practice.
Minimum Experience Requirements
1 year Management or supervisory experience in a clinical environment, including demonstrated success in managing financial resources, identifying and meeting customer requirements, and working effectively with medical staff.
2 years Outpatient operations experience as a nurse.
3 years Management or supervisory experience in a clinical environment, including demonstrated success in managing financial resources, identifying and meeting customer requirements, and working effectively with medical staff.
5 years Increasingly responsible outpatient operations experience as a nurse.
Management experience in one of the following specialties is preferred: Allergy, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Oncology, Infusion Center.
Minimum License/Certifications Requirements
At time of hire Current Washington State Registered Nurse License.
