Job Description

ACNO (Job Opening 433728) - The Administrator will assist in supporting the mission of the medical center which includes creating, disseminating, and applying new knowledge and personalizing health care to meet the needs of each individual. This position leads the overall operations in nursing, evaluates and plans for improvements in nursing leadership performance, sets standards for customer satisfaction (internal and external), and facilitates strategic and operational planning and program development. As a role model and spokesperson, the Administrator provides guidance and expertise to encourage innovation in nursing practice. This position will provide leadership, oversight, and coordination by developing strategic plans, objectives, goals, budgets, policies and practices of staff recruitment, orientation, on-going training, and performance management that supports and improves the delivery of patient care across a variety of services. The role of the Administrator includes responsibility to lead initiatives within the Division of Nursing, Magnet, and the Health system. This role will provide senior leadership and strategy for the ongoing implementation of the evidence-based practice model, serving as the primary resource for all nursing initiatives, and directs a variety of education and quality management projects. Ensures that programs and initiatives align with Health System goals and strategic priorities: talent and culture, research, education, healthcare delivery, healthy communities, and resource stewardship.

Education and Experience

Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing, Business, Public Health or Health Administration required. Earned doctorate in health-related field (e.g., health services, public health, nursing, preventive medicine, etc.) preferred. National certification in nursing administration preferred. A diverse management and leadership background in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Strong project management skills, minimum five years of clinical experience and ten years in a leadership role, preferably in an academic medical center and matrix reporting structures.
