After 26 years of successful leadership and oversight of Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) and advocacy for community health centers at the local, state and federal levels while maintaining his MD license and skills, our 1 and only CEO is planning his retirement.

We are proud of a twenty-six year history of integrating community systems of care; through service and education. CHCW is a non-profit provider of primary care services and a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). CHCW owns and operates the Central Washington Family Medicine Residency Program; a large Graduate Medical Education program serving central Washington. Additionally, with a staff of over 300 dedicated and service oriented professionals, CHCW operates 5 medical sites and 1 dental clinic to provide integrated healthcare in Yakima and Kittitas Counties in Central Washington State.

CHCW and our Board of Directors are in search of a successor to continue to promote, uphold and advocate for our Mission, our funding and lead CHCW into our envisioned future. The CEO is the president of the corporation and is responsible for the effective advancement and communication of the mission and vision of the corporation. This position oversees the planning, organization, implementation and coordination of all activities and services of the health center and related lines of business including; without limitation; budget, staffing, training and education, services and facilities.

Qualified applicants will have Master’s degree in business or health care leadership or equivalent education plus experience. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a health care administrator, experience and/or specific education in the administration of community health centers, teaching and/or administrative experience in a family medicine residency program preferred.

CHCW is based in Yakima, WA, located in the sundrenched eastern foothills of the Central Cascades. The community, surrounding mountains, lakes and rivers provide ample opportunities for everything from city amenities to wilderness adventure.
