Job Description

EvergreenHealth is an integrated healthcare system offering a breadth of services and programs that is among the most comprehensive in the region. Formed in 1972 as a public hospital district, EvergreenHealth now serves nearly 850,000 residents of their service area in north King and south Snohomish counties, with medical facilities located throughout the area. The Kirkland campus includes a 318-bed medical center and four medical specialty buildings. EvergreenHealth offers care over 85 clinical specialties, from primary care to specialty care, from maternity care to geriatric care and hospice care.

Job Summary:

Manages the day-to-day operations and profit and loss of 3 clinics, Wound Care, Infectious Disease and Diabetes and Endocrinology clinics, including physicians/staff management, patient scheduling, patient flow, medical records, patient accounting, supply ordering and complaint resolution.

  6. Achieves budgeted expenses and revenue on a monthly and annual basis. On an annual basis, develops revenue and expense projections for multiple departments and capital budgets within EvergreenHealth guidelines.
  7. Ensures multiple offices and personnel are in compliance with EvergreenHealth policies. Ensures operation is in regulatory compliance with all governing agencies or bodies (OSHA, J C, Medicare, HIPAA etc). Responsible for the timeliness, accuracy and security of patient medical records within multiple offices.
  8. Responsible for ensuring staff are trained in proper PMSI use and newly implemented EMR processes and procedures.
  9. Promotes a continuous quality improvement culture and follows through on projects from design through completion, learning and next steps, in conjunction with CSP, Clinical QI specialists, Clinical Informatics Specialist and others as appropriate.
  10. Responsible for CQI indicator monitoring, data collection and reporting.
  11. Coordinates with primary care and other specialty managers to ensure a seamless referral process and maximize system integrity.
  12. Monitors and when necessary, develops improvement plans to increase patient satisfaction.
  13. In coordination with division leadership and EvergreenHealth Strategic Priorities, develops growth strategies for multiple specialties and clinics.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of management experience in a health care setting

DESIRED for the position:

  • Master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MHA)
  • Experience managing either multi-dimensional clinics or multiple medical clinics
