Join Fairfax Behavioral Health today and provide help, hope, and healing. We currently have an available opportunity for a MHT/CNA in our Kirkland, Washington hospital.
The MHT/CNA functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. MHT/CNA provides group “activities” and assists with milieu management and work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Education: High School Degree or equivalent; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of related experience as an MHT/CNA, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Licensure: Must maintain a valid Washington State driver's license and Registration as Nursing Assistant.
Additional Requirements: MHT/CNA's must successfully complete CPR, 1st Aid, Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation Certification. MHT/CNA's are occasionally required to work overtime and flexible hours.
