Director of Nursing Services
The Director of Nursing directs clinical nursing services and the day-to-day activities of the nursing and healthcare support team within our multidisciplinary community health center. Responsible for approximately 60 FTEs across multiple locations, the Director works collaboratively with other members of TCCH leadership to formulate, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for service delivery of patient care. He/she implements and maintains clinical and patient care practice standards and serves as the primary contact for providers, staff, and outside departments addressing problems, issues or concerns that require department attention. The Director of Nursing trains and develops the team to ensure each member is working at the top of his or her scope delivering compassionate, quality patient care.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. MSN preferred.
Experience: At minimum, 6-8 years of nursing experience required. At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience required. Experience in an ambulatory clinical setting preferred.
License/Certification: Current WA State RN license required. Must have/obtain CPR & BLS certification within 3 months of hire. Current driver’s license and auto insurance required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to mentor and train staff. Skilled in developing and implementing processes to enhance operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement. Must be financially accountable with excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and providers. Must be able to communicate effectively, be self-directed and comfortable with managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Skilled in building partnerships with leadership, staff, and providers in order to achieve goals and objectives. Ability to manage problems and difficult situations effectively.
