PROJECT ENGINEER - ADMINISTRATION

The Project Engineer is responsible for facilitating construction related activities under the general supervisor of the Construction Project Manager. Project Engineer coordinates various construction related activities with both internal team & external project partners.
This position facilitates design, pre-construction, and construction phases of various capital construction projects.
Project Engineer participates in various phases of construction process including submittals, substitutions, schedule, scope changes, punchlist, closeout, and construction inspection. Project Engineer interfaces routinely with healthcare end-users, consultants, contractors, vendors, inspecting agencies to successful project completion. Strong skills in all building trades including interiors, finishes, furniture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low voltage system is encouraged.
Knowledge of estimating, job cost tracking, scheduling, construction, quality control, construction documents, closeout, written documentation and space planning.
Ability to manage construction planning/design processes including space planning, design development, design reviews, and product selections.
Knowledge of industry best practices for healthcare construction applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A four-year Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project leadership role
- Experience with Building Information Modeling is encouraged.
- License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
- Certified Health Constructor or Certified Health Facility Manager is encouraged.
