Job Title: Director, Learning and Development | GSS - HR LEAD - Learning | Multi-City
Executes strategies and improvement activities to achieve organizational education goals and learning priorities. Anticipates future needs by monitoring trends in the healthcare industry and changes within the organization that informs healthcare professional development needs. This role provides direction and coordination of learning activities. Requires strong leadership skills and decision-making abilities. The Director demonstrates systems-thinking, team-orientation, innovation, and a patient-focused outlook. Self-directed and a role model for others. Ability to design and implement projects, programs, and communication strategies with diverse learning partners. Establishes effective relationships with managers, directors, faculty, and staff to assess knowledge gaps. Ensures curriculum build designs and/or programs that are accurate and meet the learning and development requirements of the employee and organization. Responsibilities include oversight of assessment of needs, curriculum development, and educational processes. The Director posts new positions, hires new employees, conducts performance appraisals, and when necessary, terminates employees. The Director is responsible for improving the competencies of employees. Processes and approves of timecards. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance. Engages in the development and oversight of accounting units, modifying as appropriate to meet operational needs. Engages in interdepartmental collaboration to embrace diverse perspectives.
Employs effective hiring strategies to identify talented employees. Develops clear, thorough schedules that deal with a variety of situations. Develops a team with the talents and skills needed to accomplish goals. Delegates appropriate levels of responsibility and authority. Creates a team environment of accountability and commitment for reaching project goals. Coordinates workloads, within allocated timeframes, for different operations departments. Contributes to training in effective communications and collaboration with a diverse workforce. Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors. Communicates well downward, upward, and outward. Coaches others to develop stronger change management skills and greater comfort with change. Coaches others in methods of identifying and correcting errors, oversights and omissions. Seeks opportunities to serve as a mentor. Prepare training budget for department or organization. Monitors relationships to ensure no co-dependency exists between mentors and mentees. Leads the evaluation, selection, and implementation of project management software.

Master's degree required; preferably with a focus in healthcare.
Consideration will be taken into account for a minimum of ten years equivalent work experience. A minimum of five years of experience in a leadership and/or management role is required.
Currently licensed with the applicable State Nursing Board and/or possesses multistate licensure privilege as required by position.
