This position is responsible for creating databases by assigning diagnostic and procedural ICD-10 and CPT codes to patient bills in order to receive proper reimbursement. This position is also responsible for data entry of codes into a database.
- This position requires graduation from an accredited 2 year college level program as a Medical Records Technician or from a similar 2 year program.
- This position also requires a certification as either an Accredited Record Technician (ART), Certified Coder Specialist (CCS), Registered Record Administrator (RRA), or a Certified Procedural Coder (CPC).
- This position also requires 2 years professional and outpatient coding experience.
- Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.
