Director - Talent Acquisition (Job Opening 454751) - The Director, Talent Acquisition, reports directly to the Senior Associate Vice President, for Wexner Medical Center Human Resources. This role also has accountability to the Associate Vice President of Talent, Diversity and Leadership for institutional strategy development, enterprise-wide operations and guiding principles, as well as to promote consistency in Talent Acquisition best practices across Ohio State. The Director, Talent Acquisition, is positioned within the Shared Service structure of the OSUWMC Department of Human Resources and is responsible for operationalizing the strategic initiatives that support hiring the most talented faculty and staff at the Medical Center. The Department of Human Resources consists of 100+ professionals that are dedicated to supporting the overall a "people" mission, specifically: recruitment, education, OD/leadership development, training, HRIS, payroll, and compensation. The staff of the Department of Human Resources is available to staff, faculty and administrators to provide assistance in areas of HR related policies and controls, partnering with clients to provide solutions, executing HR operations, supporting strategic decisions.
Position Summary: Directs, coordinates, monitors and administers the recruitment, hiring and selection processes for all staff related purposes for the Ohio State University Health System and the College of Medicine. Partners with, HR Strategic Business Partners, HR Consultants as well as system operational leaders to understand their unit's talent acquisition goals as it pertains to the unit's workforce plan, applicable succession plans, and diversity and inclusion goals and is aligned with the University talent strategy. Provides ongoing input to the talent acquisition strategy to enhance candidate/employee/hiring manager experience. Identifies cutting edge trends in Talent Acquisition reports and metrics, follows national, regional and local benchmarks and trending around the same. Reports out key metrics on a regular cadence to ensure activity and performance is meeting stated goals and objectives. Makes strategic recommendations as applicable based on performance outcomes trends and benchmarks. Maintains strategic relationships with professional associations and the community at-large. Identifies appropriate recruitment events as related to specific positions.
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources or equivalent experience required; Master's degree in business or human resources desired. 10 years minimum experience required, 15 years experience preferred, demonstrating success in recruitment required. Preferred experience in an Academic Medical Center. Direct management experience in Human Resources required. Strategic planning experience desired.
