Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer - Administrative Services Building (3353)

We are seeking a VP/Chief Human Resources Officer to:

Provide overall administration, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources functions and activities of UW Health. Participate in the development of the institutional strategic plan to ensure the accomplishment of the mission and vision of UW Health. Work to continuously enhance the delivery of human resource services through improvement processes that maintain the highest levels of service, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.

Preferred - Master’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management or supervisory level experience in human resources in a complex and progressive human resources environment.

Preferred - Experience in health care, experience with an academic medical center

  • A high degree of professionalism and competency dealing with a variety of individuals including physicians, senior executives, hospital administration, and external constituents.
  • Experience in preparing operating and capital budgets.
  • An ability to organize and present data in a concise and easily understood manner, often to professionals, physicians, and board members.
  • Ability to be recognized as a positive change agent.
  • Proven success as a dynamic and empowering leader who possesses a positive attitude to instill a vision for excellence with innovation and creativity.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based upon the operational needs of the business.
