Virginia Mason is seeking a Compensation Analyst II to join our team. In this role the Compensation Analyst supports the design, implementation, communication and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay and recognition programs that comply with applicable laws and regulations, consistent with Virginia Mason goals. The Compensation Analyst will also ensure the organization’s ability to attract, motivate and retain a high performing workforce.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience of 4 years compensation, human resources or financial experience of which two years must be as an analyst with financial, business or data analysis responsibilities.
  • 2 years of experience working in compensation, human resources or finance with data analysis, interpretation and presentation experience.
  • Knowledge of compensation and related federal, state and local laws and regulations, such as FLSA, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, data interpretation, problem-solving and organization skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consulting, verbal and writing skills, ability to adapt communications to the audience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field.
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or union environment.
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation.
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
