$151,631 - $194,541 Annually DOE

The County of Santa Clara’s Behavioral Health Services Department is looking for its next Director, Children, Youth, and Family System of Care who will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating the operations and staff of the Children, Youth and Family Divisions within the Behavioral Health Services Department.

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and ability to analyze and evaluate complex financial, budgeting, contracting and administrative problems and implement effective solutions. Successful candidates will possess the ability to understand and integrate the cultural values and practices of the diverse communities served by the department into programs and services.

Aside from the generous benefits package, the individual that will be selected shall enjoy a rewarding career as a leader in a Department that serves children, adolescents, young adults, and their families, ages Birth – 25 who are experiencing social-emotional and behavioral concerns. Services are provided by five County sites and nineteen contract agency programs. The F&C Division provides outpatient care and programs specific to the unique needs of children and their families. Services are provided that respect cultural values and the natural support systems of youth and families and address children and family behavioral health problems in the least restrictive, most family-like context possible.

A qualified candidate would typically possess education and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Nursing, Public Administration or a closely related field and five (5) years of recent administrative level experience in the management of behavioral health, mental health and/or substance use programs and services for children and youth.
