This position is responsible for all areas of Information Technology and Informatics. This includes but is not limited to: clinical informatics applications areas, short and long term planning, project planning, and providing leadership to the design, development, and implementation, of clinical and health IT systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Telehealth, Telemedicine, Mobile Health and other Health IT systems. This position will work directly with the CAO and serves as the organization’s Security Officer.
Skills & Knowledge
Extensive understanding of the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of electronic health records. Familiarity with clinical decision support systems, preferably Epic. Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies. Proven ability to lead a progressive IT organization. Proven ability to integrate clinical experience and informatics skills to create efficiencies in the use of healthcare technologies. Strong knowledge of the current healthcare trends, including Medical Homes, Alternate Payment Methodologies, and Accountable Care Organizations. Strong familiarity and knowledge of Healthcare Administrative Data with reporting structures including Meaningful Use, PQRS, and HEDIS. Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Solid writing skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new informatics systems and technologies. Broad knowledge of data processing systems and concepts. Experience working with Epic, Microsoft Server, Windows, SQL, Active Directory, Terminal Services/Citrix, Oracle, Cisco IOS, Backup Exec or equivalent backup software, anti-virus software, general networking hardware, Crystal Reports, MS Office Suite, Tableau. Previous experience with FQHC/Safety Net clinics is desired.
