The Multnomah County Health Department Integrated Clinical Services (ICS) Division is seeking a Site Medical Director for the Mid-County Health Center (12710 SE Division St., Portland, OR 97236)

ICS provides access to culturally competent care and high quality clinical services that link physical and behavioral health and social services for the poor, uninsured and homeless populations. Services include medical care, disease management for chronic illness, specialized care for HIV positive individuals, behavioral health, corrections health, family planning, prenatal care, dental care and preventative services such as well child healthcare, immunizations, and nutrition services. By integrating all these healthcare services under one organization, ICS can provide clients a continuity of care, improve operation efficiencies, and maximize opportunities with grants and programs for special populations.

The Position

The Site Medical Director provides site-based oversight of medical services delivered by providers in the practice, which may include Physicians (MD/DO's), Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Acupuncturists. The Site Medical Director works collaboratively with the Health Clinic Manager and other clinic supervisors to ensure that clinic operations and medical care are safe, effective, and efficient, continuously improve, meet the needs of the population served, and support the professional development of staff. This position participates in shaping overall policies for Multnomah County Health Department (MCHD) Primary Care. The Site Medical Director is a member of clinic management, Provider Leadership and Primary Care Leadership teams.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:

Training: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with completion of a family medicine or internal medicine residency.

Experience: Two years of clinical experience with one year of lead or supervisory experience.


Medical License - Oregon Board of Medicine
DEA - DEA certification
Board Certification - American Academy of Family Medicine
BLS/CPR - American Red Cross or American Heart Association
