The Associate Chief Ambulatory Officer (ACAO) will assist the CAO with ongoing development, direction, and supervision of ambulatory programs and services within University of New Mexico Hospitals. The (ACAO) will function as the Nurse Executive primarily responsible for coordination of patient access, throughput and flow. Also jointly responsible with the CAO for ensuring that patient services are in compliance with nursing care standards as well as state and federal regulations. Assist in developing and revising nursing policies and procedures, and assist the CAO with recruitment, retention, training and quality assurance. Promote high quality care with optimal efficiency in the administration of fiscal affairs and other activities concerning care throughout the clinical enterprise. Report to the CAO. Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
BSN with a Masters in a healthcare related field or BS with a MSN
10 years progressively increasing healthcare administrative experience
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico or able to obtain within 60 days of date of position
