The Cardiovascular Services Director coordinates and directs the patient care and management activities for inpatient and outpatient Cardiovascular Services at UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.

The role will facilitate partnering with members of the multidisciplinary team and will actively engage departments of the hospital and UC Health to provide the necessary infrastructure for quality patient care services. The Director actively participates in identifying regional benchmarks, evidenced-based clinical protocols, and developing outreach programs reflective with the organizations strategic initiatives. The Director will participate in establishing cost, satisfaction, quality, and market share targets, as well as develop strategies to meet the targets and goals outlined by the organization. The Director will develop collaborative relationships with UC Health Physicians, Surgeons, Faculty and Administration.

Responsibilities of the position include departmental planning, marketing, labor management, budget management, development of professional nursing and cardiovascular technology practice, the assurance of quality patient care and service excellence for assigned areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Education: Master degree in nursing, business administration or healthcare administration, minimum required.

License and Certification: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio. BLS. ACLS, if applicable. Certification in Cardiology strongly preferred.

Years of Experience: Three to five years of cardiology experience, minimum required

Required Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated progressive responsibilities in management. Demonstrated evidence of successful management. Demonstrated experience in budgeting for operations and Personnel management. Demonstrated evidence of continuing growth and leadership.
