NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is part of the City’s public health care system, proudly serving the culturally diverse communities of central and southeastern Queens.

Since its opening in 1935, the mission of NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is to provide quality, comprehensive care to all, regardless of their ability to pay. Medical services are provided through its academic partner, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The hospital offers residency training in Dental Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB-GYN and Ophthalmology along with fellowships in Pulmonary and Hematology-Oncology. NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens offers high-quality care for Cancer, Diabetes Management, as well as comprehensive services for Women’s Health and Behavioral Health. Queens’ spacious Ambulatory Care suites feature both primary and specialty services as well as cutting-edge technology. Services include adult, pediatric and psychiatric services and operative services include same-day surgery and inpatient surgery.

Under the direction of the President and other members of senior leadership, plans, organizes, directs, and manages facility operations, and implements policies and procedures. Responsibilities include making operational decisions that align with long-term goals and performance expectations; achieving financial sustainability by successfully managing the facility’s annual budget; providing general supervision, programming, and on-going evaluation of care and services to improve outcomes and the patient experience and engage new business; and ensuring the health and safety of patients, visitors, and staff, as well as compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and NYC Health + Hospitals rules, regulations, and standards of care.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Health Administration, or related field; and,
  2. Eight (8) years of paid, full-time, high-level experience in health care administration or management (at or above the department-head level) utilizing thorough knowledge of health care administration, and regulatory compliance pertaining to health care facility operations and accreditation procedures; or,
  3. A satisfactory equivalent of college education, training and experience. However, all candidates must have at least a Baccalaureate Degree.
  4. American College of Health Care Executives, FACHE credential highly preferred.
