Burnett Medical Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit critical access hospital and is the only hospital located in Burnett County, WI. We are comprised of 17 inpatient beds, a rural health clinic, and 50-bed long term care center. We offer a variety of services from emergency care and inpatient care to various outpatient services and visiting specialists.
We are currently recruiting the following key position:
RN – INFECTION PREVENTIONIST
SHIFT & HOURS:
1.0 FTE, days
Responsible for addressing prevention and control of infections throughout the facility, Chair of the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee, providing PPE don/doff instructions. This position requires special skills and knowledge in fields of infection control, health education and counseling, and environmental health. Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, possess critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and partnership skills.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing. WI RN license. BLS required, ACLS within 6 months. Infection Prevention certification and experience desired but will train the right candidate.
Must pass drug screen and physical therapy evaluation at the time of hire. In alignment with CDC recommendations to prevent seasonal influenza, BMC mandates employees to receive annual influenza vaccination at no cost to the employee, unless you have a documented contraindication.
