GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This position requires to be onsite as a full time (1.0 FTE) employee working standard hours of Monday – Friday and will work not less than forty (40 per week) - MUST be a master-level professional with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). *** NOT REMOTE OR TELECOMMUTE POSITION *** May require successful completion of a school-based background check through DHS and the FBI.

Functions as a CHILD THERAPIST – BCBA (CT-BCBA) in a team and mission-based setting to provide assessments and related diagnosis, consultation, education, brief therapeutic interventions, and referral for applied behavior analysis and treatment programs, including patient-centered counseling and support services for a diverse caseload for adults, adolescents, children and families experiencing autism spectrum, communication challenges and conflict. CT-BCBA works as part of an onsite interdisciplinary team to design and implementation of individualized applied behavioral treatment programs for clients in their homes, schools, and/or clinic settings. CT-BCBA has primary responsibilities for serving as a resource to build, strengthen and maintain positive working relationships with clients, parents/guardians, providers, case managers, agency representatives, supervisors, program managers and other staff within local communities. In addition, CT-BCBA will support behavioral intervention staff with training and supervision on a daily basis, including individual 1:1 session with clients. CT-BCBA may also be involved with program building and partnerships with school-based health centers and area school districts in a rural health care setting. This position may be asked to work at other clinic sites as needed.

This position will support mission and goal achievement, organizational quality and patient-centered medical home philosophy.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Personnel supervision is not a responsibility of this position.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the direct supervision of the Behavioral Health Program Manager. Exercises progressive levels of autonomy in day-to-day activities based on satisfactory job performance.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA), Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
• Unrestricted Oregon License and Board Certified to practice as it relates to Applied Behavior Analyst and/or Child Therapist, Master-level professional required.
• Maintain compliance with credentialing including active licensure s a clinician with WCHC and other complete duties within the scope of licensure.
• Ability to be credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, private and other insurance within the scope of licensure.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience working in healthcare or similar setting as applied behavioral analyst and/or child therapist related to applied behavioral autism spectrum programs
• Three (3) or more years’ experience with providing diagnostic assessment and behavioral therapy services to full range of individuals with behavioral or developmental issues such as autism spectrum.
• Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis / Child Therapist.
• Effective time management and project management skills, such as communication, delegation, prioritization, maintain a big picture of the organization outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a confidential environment to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills to provide a wide range of complex and confidential administrative support duties.
• Successful clearance of all federal, state criminal background check and sex offender search.
• Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation, and positive interactions with all patients, employees, staff, providers and vendors.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate.
• Ability to use a wide range of office machines including personal computers.
• Demonstrate ability to learn and maintain appropriate technical skills to effectively support the electronic records system and/or other reporting platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Keyboarding at 25+ wpm and reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain confidentially – in accordance with WCHC policies and HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply Patient Centered Medical Home principles.
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License.

LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT:

1. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required and recertify prior to expiration date, and
2. Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class completed within 6 months of hire, and recertify prior to expiration date.
3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Card (BLS) within 6 months of hire, and recertify prior to expiration date.
4. Mandatory Trainings for Organization and Advanced Health compliance completed within 3 months of hire, no later than 6 months, and recertify prior to expiration date.
