Psychotherapist (Outpatient LCSW) – Cottage Rehab Hospital

Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital (CRH) seeks full-time mental health professional to work in our acute rehabilitation facility. The key focus of this role involves providing psychological intervention and support to patients and families, and assisting with treatment and care planning. This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work in a transdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in an extremely dynamic setting.

In this key role, you will:

• Provide assessment, psychotherapy and psychological support primarily to individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities and chronic pain
• Conduct psychoeducational support groups for patient and family members
• Coordinate planning and service delivery with all transdisciplinary team members in accordance with legal, regulatory and fiscal guidelines
• Collaborate with all team members to enhance the transdisciplinary rehabilitation model across the CRH continuum

Qualifications include:

• Experience working with short-term interventions in acute medical settings with complex patient and family situations
• Master’s degree in Social Work
• BLS certification
• Licensure in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• One year of post-graduate clinical experience, at least one of which is in a health-related setting
• Expertise in general counseling, rehabilitation intervention and treatment for a wide variety of neurological, general medical and psychiatric conditions
• Accreditation in SCI specialty program
