The Benefits and Leave Administrator role is responsible for performing, coordinating and innovating the daily administration of various benefit programs, including leave of absence and retirement plans. This position will manage the process, policies and will have oversight of the vendor partners and brokers that assist CMH and service our employees. Identifies, develops and implements process improvements for the administration of our benefits and leave programs.
Strong written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit and proofread. Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have a strong attention to detail and have excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Education and/or Experience
Experience with Kronos or similar Payroll/HRIS system strongly preferred. 4-6 years of benefits or leave administration or 2-4 years of direct leave administration experience. Comprehensive knowledge of federal and statutory regulations including FMLA, ADA, military leave, Oregon family leave, etc. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
