Director of Acute Care

Functions as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team under the direct supervision of the Chief Operations Officer to oversee substance use programs at Recovery Place Seattle. The Director of Acute Care work alongside the VP of Medical Services and Director of Nursing to oversee daily utilization management and serve as an advisor for clinical program development and staff training at the Recovery Place Seattle-Beacon Hill.

Essential Job Functions: (This is not the job description in its entirety)

• Provides support to designing the agency’s continuum of care to ensure clients access appropriate levels of care to promote health outcomes
• Works with the agency to implement value based payment contracts while ensuring whole person care across various levels of care
• Works with QA and QI to measure population health and patient health outcomes and design care pathways to support value based metrics
• Takes responsibility for the general leadership and management of the assigned programs in order to accomplish and support VCCC’s missions, goals and objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Level in Business, Public Administration or Human Services related field.
• Ability to learn Fully Integrated Managed Care and Washington State Medicaid Transformation initiatives
• Pass required background checks

Experience:

• Demonstrate progressive responsibility and significant experience in business administration, particularly management of financial systems and human resources
• Minimum five years supervisory experience
• Minimum five years experience in a health or human services field
