POSITION TITLE: Licensed Mental Health Clinician
DEPARTMENT: Grand River Health Clinic West
REPORTS TO: Mental Health Supervisor
The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers in the state of Colorado to disclose the following information. Hourly (salary) minimum $30.45, hourly (salary) maximum $34.75. The base hourly (salary) range above represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual hourly (salary) rates may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to: experience, education, and training.
Pay is just one component to prospective employees’ compensation package. Compensation may also include shift differentials. JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
BASIC FUNCTION: The Licensed Mental Health Clinician, as part of the Clinic West Primary Care treatment team, identifies, triages and provides mental health treatment to patients of all ages with behavioral health issues. Provides psychotherapy or counseling to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Assists in the detection of at-risk clients and provides assessments and interventions to prevent further psychological deterioration. In addition, may teach clients, families and staff about care, prevention and treatment enhancement techniques. Responsible for ensuring that the biopsychosocial needs of clients are met and maintained on an individual basis in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Responsible for completing all required documentation in a timely manner. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Education: Requires current Colorado licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist (PSY); Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience in an integrated clinical setting preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Possesses strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations, a range of diagnoses and treatment modalities. Ability to collaborate with professionals in Grand River clinics as well as with social service organizations, schools and other agencies. Familiarity with all office equipment: copier, multi-line phones, fax machine, etc. Able to complete documentation in timely manner. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Ability to exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent and equitable manner. Must be proficient within six (6) months of hire in Meditech, Dragon, Kronos and HealthStream.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Other conditions may exist which are common to a clinical healthcare setting.
