The Organizational Development and Human Resources Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will provide thought leadership, processes, tools, and resources to support the development and implementation of high-value strategic initiatives for the organization. They will drive talent management and leadership development as well as provide oversight of all tools and processes required to support succession planning, talent assessment, performance management, inclusion, culture transformation and employee relations. This position is responsible for development and integration of HR programs and projects to achieve strategic initiatives for the organization. This position is also responsible for development and integration of Planetree patient-centered strategic initiatives for the organization.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:

Ability to understand the organization’s strategies and translate into programs which support strategic plan initiatives. Strong change leadership skills coupled with exceptional relationship building and influencing skills. Expert facilitation skills in a group setting and virtual environment. Ability to dynamically engage, train, and coach employees and various audiences at all levels. Functions well in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions for complex challenges. Excellent computer skills and analytical abilities. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Creative and innovative with approach and ideas while being flexible and adaptable to a changing and fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and to make independent decisions, excellent listening, customer service and employee relation skills.

License/Certification: PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum five (5) years’ Organizational Development, Learning and Development or related Human Resource experience. Two (2) years HR experience in healthcare environment required. Experience driving execution successfully and operationalizing talent strategies as part of a complete talent management plan. College-level degree in one or more of the following:

  • Organizational Development
  • Human Resources

Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance:

Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment. Ability to work with many interruptions throughout workday.
