Job Description:

Under the direction of the President, the CEO plans, organizes, directs, and manages facility operations, and implements policies and procedures. Responsibilities include making operational decisions that align with long-term goals and performance expectations; achieving financial sustainability by successfully managing the facility’s annual budget; providing general supervision, programming, and on-going evaluation of care and services to improve outcomes and the patient experience and engage new business; and ensuring the health and safety of patients, visitors, and staff, as well as compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and NYC Health + Hospitals rules, regulations, and standards of care.

General responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates effective business/strategic planning within health care system framework; identifies growth/contraction opportunities, in context of community needs; and establishes high performance expectations.
  • Meets budget/key performance indicators (KPIs)/metrics of success, and manages resources effectively.
  • Operates facility as part of a health care system, implementing system-wide decisions.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements a facility management reporting system that provides adequate and timely data for program planning and evaluation purposes.
  • Establishes clear roles/responsibilities for staff, provides clear direction, engages our diverse employees, and builds trust.
  • Engages clinical/physician leadership in focusing on quality and patient engagement.
  • Engages community leaders, local elected officials, and regulatory bodies and builds trust, and advocates for our services in coordination with system priorities.
  • Maintains cooperative relationships with the community-based organizations professional groups, external agencies, unions; integrates services of the facility with the community’s resources and needs, as appropriate.
  • Undertakes construction and renovation programs, including acquisition and replacement of facility equipment.
  • Performs other related duties in support of and in alignment with the strategic goals of the health care system, as necessary.

Annual Salary Range: $300,000.00 - $342,000.00
0-10% Travel
No Relocation Allowance

Minimum Qualifications

  1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Health Administration, or related field; and,
  2. Eight (8) years of high-level experience and leadership in hospital/acute care setting utilizing thorough knowledge of health care business and regulatory compliance pertaining to health care facility operations and accreditation procedures;
  3. Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse community, employees and patients.
  4. Strong healthcare business acumen and ability to inspire others to achieve their best.
  5. American College of Health Care Executives, FACHE credential highly preferred.
