The EHR Population Health Director will oversee a team of technical and population health workflow experts in ensuring that data is translated into information that drives Enterprise Population Health strategic and operational needs. Accountable for EHR related business intelligence, data warehousing, and data governance activities. Sets strategic direction and enables optimization of EHR reporting tools. Ensures that data is realized as an organizational asset. Routinely interacts with senior executives, population health leaders, IT leaders, and vendor executives. This role can be based in greater Chicago or greater Milwaukee area.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
7 years of experience in health data management, information systems with demonstrated experience in business intelligence experience with demonstrated experience in population health reporting, data architecture, solution design, systems development, implementation, and installation within a complex service delivery environment.
3 years of management experience in project management, budgets, and managing multi-discipline work teams.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Excellent presentation and writing skills.
Extensive background in the information service field, including data warehousing/management, design, programming, testing, implementation, hardware, systems software and computer operations.
Experience with population health workflows in both practice and within the EMR.
Ability to build collaborative working relationships.
Effective team leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high-performance work teams and development groups demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resource across multiple projects to meet goals development of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems and demonstrated strong abilities in relationship management.
Demonstrated, self-directed, results-oriented and creative approach to projects.
Knowledge of Quality and Performance Improvement principles.
Experience with statistics and research methods.
Proven project management skills and ability to problem solve.
Significant aptitude and expertise in EMR reporting, business intelligence, and database design.
