In support of our mission to provide services and programs that meet the needs of all of the people we serve, the Mental Health Center of Denver is expanding our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) team by adding a full-time trainer position. The DEI team is committed to ensuring that the organization’s commitment to anti-racism, social justice, and equity is realized through providing all staff the training needed to increase their skills and knowledge in a wide variety of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness topics.
The DEI Trainer will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the development of anti-bias, anti-racism, and inclusiveness trainings across all levels of the organization starting immediately with our two required diversity and cultural awareness trainings. They will work closely with the Executive Project Assistant to engage staff in events related to DEI within the organization and support the growth of Employee Resource Groups. The Trainer will serve on committees to provide a DEI lens for projects, policies, and practices while also gaining insight for areas of opportunity for further DEI skill development throughout the organization. Additionally, the DEI Trainer will be responsible for developing a robust resource library to support our staff in self-guided learning related to DEI topics.
STARTING SALARY: $24.51/hr - $28/36/hr

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION: Related degree preferred, not required.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours. Includes both virtual and in-person work.
