Performs programmatic oversight and supervisory work for the Communicable Disease Investigation and Prevention (CDIP) programs and staff members. Programs within CDIP include Epidemiology, Infection Prevention, and Homeless Outreach with a goal to enhance communicable disease prevention and control. Manages response to disease outbreaks and other incidents of public health concern. Develops and maintains relationships with community partners to mitigate disease spread and address other public health concerns. Provides leadership, program development and implementation, short and long-term program planning, resource development, community development, community education, budget development and management, program evaluation, grant writing and management, and policy development functions for the projects and programs within CDIP.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as public health, healthcare, science, education, or administration is required. A Master’s degree is strongly desired.
  • Five years of relevant experience in a supervisory capacity. Experience in planning, contracts management, budget oversight, coordination, group facilitation and emergency response are desired. Some leadership experience may be considered.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and certification may be considered provided the individual’s background demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

  • Valid motor vehicle license and current auto insurance required to access multiple sites in a timely manner.
