The Corporate Director of Benefits/Retirement is an integral strategic member of our Total Rewards Team and provides measurable impact on the “Your Wealth, Your Health & Your Work/Life Integration” pillars. This position is accountable for the strategic design of UC’s health & welfare and retirement programs and policies that enable us to attract, engage, and retain top talent at all levels of the organization to ensure UC Health’s position as a “5 Star System and Best Place to Work”.

The innovative and strategic leader will work collaboratively with our HR team and leaders across the enterprise. A successful incumbent must have a broad and expansive portfolio of strategic benefits and retirement experience that can support the career journey needs of a multi-generational workforce.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

Education:

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or related field
  • Preferred: Master's Degree, MBA or related degree

License & Certification:

  • SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum Required: 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience with increasing responsibilities

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong expertise in administering Corporate benefit programs.
  • Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Ability to communicate to all level of employees to improve processes and initiate change.
  • Excellent analytical, judgement, and decision-making skills.
  • Results oriented, innovative, creative and pro-active leader.
  • Maintains strong industry and external HR knowledge of applicable benefit trends in the local and national market.
  • Strong ability to build relationships cross-functionality in the Total Rewards space and partner with leaders to deliver cost effective solutions that meet the business needs.
