Executive Director Position Announcement

South Coast Hospice & Palliative Care Services, Inc., a sustainable non-profit organization seeks a full time talented & inspiring Executive Director committed to those in need of end-of-life care in our communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Executive Director must be both a strategist & strong manager with a passion for solving problems with the ability to lead & inspire staff, volunteers, & community.
The Board of Directors is seeking a person of integrity who is able to build trust; an effective communicator who values transparency & who inspires others to work collaboratively toward a common goal.

MINIMUM

• 3-5 years of Hospice & end-of life experience in a management position
• Strong financial management skills, including fund accounting, budgeting, fundraising & financial analysis
• An asset to have licensing in one of the following areas: NHA, RN, NP, BSN, BA in business & management, clinical Social Worker or LCSW; equivalent experience considered
• Competent with State & Federal Hospice Conditions of Participation
• Excellent computer skills & creatively using technology to enhance the future of the organization
• Ability in public speaking, clear & effective written & oral communication, & effective group skills
• Demonstrated effectiveness in building relationships/partnerships outside of the organization
• A demonstrated ability to build effective teams & to delegate

DESIRABLE

• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree in nursing or Health Administration
• Marketing & public relations experience
• Grant writing experience

COMPENSATION

Salary starts at $120,000, dependent on experience & qualifications; competitive benefit package
