Opportunity

This position is responsible for delivering and contributing to the development of a range of Human Resources programs, including employee relations, employee recognition, HRIS administration, training, benefits administration which also includes leave of absence, worker’s compensation claims and disability administration.

Responsibilities

• Support employees and managers on a myriad of employee relations issues; conducts investigations as appropriate and provides coaching and consulting to managers as needed.
• Lead the Employee Appreciation Committee, support Employee Appreciation programs including program communication, coordination of meetings, employee events such as Employee Appreciation Week, Winter Celebration and Theme Days, and enhance and/or design of the program elements.
• Serve as primary point of contact for staff regarding HRIS system, investigate and resolve system issues.
• Responsible for all benefit administration.

Skills & Knowledge

Federal, state and local laws pertaining to Human Resources management, labor relations, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action. Knowledge and skills in training and facilitation. Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge and skills on training subjects and have the ability to communicate into language and concepts that an audience can comprehend. Demonstrate proficiency in computers & use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & Internet browsers; also use phones, fax machines & copiers. Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
