Reporting to the Vice President of Health Services Programs, the Manager of Behavioral Health manages the administrative aspects of all delegated and carved out behavioral health and substance use programs at the San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP).

You will be the primary clinical liaison to both vendors and internal departments. You will provide oversight and maintain relationships with vendor services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Manage the Beacon contract and overall relationship: develop contract goals, monitor performance in quality, utilization management, and credentialing against goals and ensures successful completion.
• Build and maintain a relationship with County Behavioral Health Services (BHS), including the Treatment Access Program (TAP).
• Analyze substance treatment policy trends as relevant to SFHP members; update team on relevant developments. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contract requirements in accordance with DHCS and DMHC.
• Develop and maintain behavioral health and substance treatment policies and procedures.
• Establish relationships and engage with behavioral health providers and ensure measurable improvements in clinical and quality outcomes for members
• Participate in behavioral health audit preparation and sessions for DHCS, DMHC, and NCQA audits.
• Perform annual oversight audit of behavioral health vendors and delegated providers and review delegates' corrective action plans.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Requires Masters or above in Behavioral Health field and minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in healthcare which includes 5 years experience in a behavioral health as a provider or payor and Medi-Cal managed care; and a combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
• Current and unrestricted license such as RN, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist (as allowed by California is required)
• Five years progressive management experience
