As the On-Call Supervisor you would be tasked with many responsibilities. A few examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops and maintains an On-Call resource pool of sufficient size to effectively respond to the support needs of the agency.
  • Recruiting and onboarding of personnel to serve as On-Call Mentors for the agency.
  • Assigns On-call mentors to requested work assignments based on the support needs of the agency.
  • Notifies eligible On-Call personnel of work assignment possibilities.

Job Description:

Position: On-Call Supervisor

Reports to: Associate Director

Primary Hours: *Set hours based on needs of individuals in service.
*Hours vary

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in the health care field or one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a clean MVR upon hire
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card


  • Hires qualified personnel to meet the On-call staffing needs of the agency.
  • Receives requests for staff assignment from supervisors of the agency.
  • Seeks ongoing input from program supervisors to identify effective hires and seek information regarding work performance of On-Call mentors.
  • Completes documentation of personnel changes and actions.
  • Participates in Agency required meetings.
  • Produces excel reports for management as requested. (Training, retention, and any other tasks assigned by supervising Director.
  • Manages each On-call staff training requirements, certifications and maintains current training.
  • Responsible for performing On-Call employees driving evaluations upon hire.
  • Address employee personal issues with On-call mentors.
  • Conducts supervision and performance evaluations for On-call mentors.
  • Complete and maintain agency training and certificates.
  • Use of company cell phone for job duties.
  • Responsible for receiving and making calls on weekends and after hours for emergency site personnel coverage.
