The Senior Director Strategic Initiatives provides strategy, decision support, organizational planning and operational leadership for special revenue cycle operations for all Cleveland Clinic entities. This includes decision support and planning on reimbursement, billing, collection issues related to value based payments, bundled and episodic billing and follow up, international and decentralized billing processes, provider integration and related project management. Also included is revenue assurance and contract compliance to ensure that all revenue is accounted for and accurate reimbursements are received as well as revenue integrity. In addition, provides strategic direction and oversight to ensure all of RCM mergers, acquisitions and divestitures are completed on time and aligned with Cleveland Clinic practices.   • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Ten or more years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in a large, multi-facility Hospital, Clinic or Group Practice Hospital (Physician led preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of operational revenue cycle management, reimbursement methodologies and related legislation.
  • Ability to build engagement to drive effective results.
  • Demonstrated successful project management skills.
  • Must be highly organized and able to coordinate many simultaneous activities.
  • Professional presentation, consulting and communication skills.
