Manage and apply resources to general patient access operations, guided by experience, organizational goals and operational strategies. Also responsible for the management of cyclical projects. Work on complex patient access matters where analysis of issues, data and process require advanced specialist knowledge and in-depth industry and technical knowledge.

Lead patient access management, all of its supporting functions and department leadership to supports the development of new initiatives. Support training and staffing by providing oversight, direction and coordination for the entire enterprise.

Predict how operational changes affect other departments, processes, system workflows and other requirements to ensure successful business management. Balance patient access management needs throughout the enterprise and assist in managing overall needs of the enterprise while providing uncompromised care to the customer.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to direct and design innovative solutions that incorporate safety, quality, risk, human capital and organizational development perspectives. Build effective relationships with enterprise and business leaders, and manage fiscal and budget operations. Research, plan, develop and implement projects, programs and communication strategies with leaders to gain support from the department and from vendors.

Initiate and lead patient access management enhancement opportunities, including denials management and accounts receivable improvement.

Execute quality improvement activities to achieve department and organizational goals throughout all regions using evidence-based research practices, and ensure the integration of utilization of practices into operations that remain consistent with, or outperform, national standards and benchmarks.

Encourage and improve individual and professional growth, and the development of interdisciplinary team-based simulation and program learning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration or a related field required.

Seven years of system applications and functions experience in a health care setting and experience with third party reimbursement, project control, management techniques, budgeting and planning required.
