The Director, Executive Office provides administrative leadership and strategic direction to Mayo Clinic’s Executive Office. The Director may lead teams for Executive Engagement, Executive Content and or Executive Events. The Director is responsible for leading teams that manage engagements and appearances or events and experiences or ensuring executive content is clear, strategic, unified and upholds brand standards on behalf of Mayo Clinic executives.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree and 10 years’ experience, or Master's degree and 7 years’ experience. Deep experience supporting executives, writing on behalf of executives, and managing engagements for various audiences including board meetings, staff meetings, and external conference presentations. Must possess high personal motivation supporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, and creativity. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence from executive leadership, and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Master's Degree preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate in a way that creates clarity, simplifies messages, and aligns with organizational strategy. Knowledge of channels for communication and the ability to build effective communication and engagement strategies. A comprehensive knowledge of events planning and execution including securing venues, negotiating with external contractors, and implementing and following through on tight timelines may be needed. Strong attention to detail. Expert problem-solving, time management, and written and oral communication skills. Ability to build effective event strategies, supporting business needs and objectives.

Ability to evaluate and improve upon existing processes and develop/implement new processes where appropriate. Must demonstrate ability to manage sensitive/confidential/proprietary information. Ability to work across an organization with excellent communication and customer service orientation. Ability to prioritize and communicate priorities in alignment with strategy. Position requires occasional travel and the flexibility to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
