Description

Salary- 50k-60k Depending on Experience

Primary Function: Provides direct, day-to-day supervision to Counseling Technician Team members. Creates an environment where team members receive mentoring, training, and coaching in a positive and respectful manner.

Supervision: Chief Operating Officer

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate daily Counseling Tech operations in all clinical programs, ensuring that quality care is delivered to clients.
  • Complete departmental staff schedules. Verifies and approves timecards.
  • Update and maintain clients’ daily schedules.
  • Participate in the hiring of new team members and provides input for team member performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that Counseling Technicians accurately and thoroughly document client information in the electronic medical record.
  • Provide training for new hire and existing staff, ensuring that staff receive training in a timely manner to effectively implement operational changes.
  • Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of Harmony’s Client Exercise/Wellness Program.
  • Inventory, order, and maintain client reading materials.
  • Update programmatic and client documentation (handbook, schedules, resources).
  • Coordinate client activities and holiday activities and off campus transportation needs for outside meetings.
  • Schedule and coordinate Counseling Technician departmental meetings.
  • Verify accuracy of outside vendor invoices within area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate operational needs with internal departments.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders in developing annual budget. Assist with budget monitoring on an ongoing basis.
  • Adhere to confidentiality laws including 42CFR Part 2, HIPAA and HITECH as well as all Harmony policies and procedures.
  • Attend and serve as a contributing member in required committee meetings as assigned.
  • Perform Counseling Technician Team Member duties for 40% of the workweek.

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • CAC III certification or NADAAC equivalent.
  • Two years of previous experience working with substance use disorders is preferred.
  • Two years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work all shifts (day, evenings, and weekends).
  • Must have valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record if driving Harmony vehicle or driving for Harmony business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to relate with detachment and empathy to clients with substance use disorders and their families.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.
  • Skilled in collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Skilled in leading and managing a cohesive team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency related to confidentiality and ethical standards of the counseling profession.
  • Ability to exercise sound decision making in demanding or stressful situations.
  • Authentic commitment to Harmony’s mission and vision, actively working to further organizational objectives.
