Position Overview:
We are seeking a community-oriented and mission-driven physician, Medical Director to lead our clinical team. This role can be structured as part-time or full-time, in person/on-site, offering flexibility for the right candidate. The Medical Director will provide both direct patient care and clinical leadership, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and direction to medical, nursing, and support staff.
- Maintain a panel of patients, delivering compassionate, evidence-based primary care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer, leadership team, and Board of Directors on strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards maintained by a community clinic.
- Mentor and support Advanced Practice Providers, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
- Represent the health center in community, professional, and public health initiatives.
Qualifications :
- MD or DO degree with current licensure to practice in California.
- Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong commitment to serving underserved populations and advancing healthcare equity.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an FQHC or rural healthcare setting (preferred)
