Jail Diversion/ACT Mental Health Therapist (Grants Pass)


The Jail Diversion/ACT Therapist provides clinical recovery-focused services to people with serious mental illness, using jail in-reach strategies and evidence-based practices including Assertive Community Treatment. Assesses and screens clients, formulates individual treatment plans, develops transition plans for incarcerated individuals and coordinates jail diversion, PSRB and other program-specific services.


Therapist provides screenings, assessments and treatment planning to those involved in, and at risk of being involved in, the criminal justice system. Promotes engagement into treatment, provides therapy and coordination of services. Utilizes appropriate evidence-based practices. Coordinates with personnel in the jail, including jail staff, medical providers and other mental health service providers. Participates as part of a larger multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, case management, peers and substance abuse treatment providers. Submits timely documentation of services provided using Electronic Health Records and collaborative documentation. Manages time and caseload effectively.


Clinical supervision and training is provided along with continuing education opportunities. Position requires a Master's degree in psychology or a related field. 2017 grads welcome to apply as well as experienced therapists. Relocation reimbursement available. Computer proficiency required to use Electronic Health Records. Valid OR driver's license and safe driving record required. Must successfully complete state-required background and DMV checks. Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.
