We are seeking a Director of Children’s Mental Health Services to lead Kerr programs serving children and their families. In this role, you’ll lead Kerr’s Crisis Psychiatric Care (Subacute) Program, Intensive Community-Based Treatment Services (ICTS), and Outpatient (OP) services, including home- and office-based services and mental health services provided at Kerr group homes.

As the Director of Children’s Mental Health Services, you’ll provide leadership and oversight to Kerr’s mental health programs and will oversee program managers to ensure an effective therapeutic milieu. This positions provides clinical and licensure supervision, monitors effective clinical assessment and implementation, provides budget development, and ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, Oregon Administrative Rules, and Joint Council Accreditation standards. You will work in conjunction with the Medical Director regarding the treatment status of all children within Subacute and Outpatient services. Additionally, you’ll identify strategic and fiscally responsible opportunities to expand and grow our programs.

Education, Experience Certifications

  • Master’s Degree in social work, counselling psychology, marriage and family therapy, or closely related clinical field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Active and unencumbered Oregon license in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Professional Counseling (LPC).
  • Successful completion of approved Licensure Supervision course is highly preferred.
  • Two years’ clinical supervisory experience is preferred.
  • At least five years’ post-licensure experience working with children/adolescents with mental health challenges and their families.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex rules and regulations. Experience with Oregon Administrative Rules and Joint Commission preferred.
  • Ability to relate effectively with clients, families and others in the service agencies.
  • Ability to effectively respond to and resolve crisis situations.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to meet agency driving requirements.
