CCS is recruiting for a full-time exempt .83 FTE School Based Mental Health Specialist based at the Morrow Education Center. This position will also contribute to the needs of all North Morrow schools by providing coverage for the program. As a floater (25%), the ideal candidate will enjoy the perks of traveling to various locations every week. If routine is not for you, then this position is perfect! Guide and support the future of your community through often tumultuous years as a mental health specialist. Listen to concerns and be an advocate for those who may not have one. Use expertise to diagnose and assess appropriate treatment for the next generation to flourish. This position has the opportunity to provide behavioral health and addiction prevention to various outlets.

What does it take to be a School Based Counselor?

  • Bachelors degree in psychology or another human-service related field and the ability to obtain a masters degree in psychology or another human-service related field.
  • CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) preferred.
  • A valid Oregon Drivers License
  • Pass a criminal background check.

The pay range for this position is $38,800 to $83,400 annually, DOEE.
