Clinic Manager II - Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic

As a key member of our leadership team, you will help to continually develop the results-driven initiatives that define our success and are transforming healthcare.Includes VMMC clinics with more than 3 multi-specialty areas and/or 7-25 physicians/providers.

As a Clinic Manager II you will direct the business, technical and nursing support activities of the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine clinic. In conjunction with the Administrative Director or Vice President and the Physician Leader, this position oversees the administrative functions of the clinic including operations, marketing, facilities, finance, human resources, and planning and development.

  • Develop and implement clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals & objectives consistent with VMMC's strategic plan and goals.
  • Perform all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment and retention, analyzing staff mix and deploying staff, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.
  • Forecast staffing, capital and operating budget needs in evaluating and reporting on the clinic's market position, financial situation, space utilization, etc. Monitor performance of plan and make adjustments as needed.
  • Plan and organize staff and facilities to meet customer needs. Ensure routine maintenance is performed, problems corrected and systems in place to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patient care/service delivery.
  • Market and promote new and existing programs and services to patients and community.
  • Participate in organization-wide committees to establish or improve customer service and administrative plans and policies. Represent clinic and VMMC to local community and business groups.
  • Develop and implement clinic-specific policies and procedures and implement and monitor system standard work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nursing or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 5 or more years progressively responsible clinic management experience.
  • Proven proficiency in financial management, which includes comprehensive understanding of insurance plans as they relate to physician practice.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, effectively and concisely to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong Human Resources skills.

Preferred: Master's degree in business administration, nursing or a related field.
