Located in downtown Indianapolis (currently working 100% remote due to COVID-19) and reporting to the Executive Director of Recruiting, this role will be a hands-on leader, managing a team of ~10 Recruiting Consultants in recruitment strategy, sourcing, and consultative full-cycle recruitment processes. This team sits in various locations, so we are seeking a leader experienced in working with distributed /virtual teams and driving team member engagement as we continue to grow. With exciting new technologies and initiatives underway, a love for change management and process development is ideal. As we elevate hiring experiences and focus diligently on quality selection processes, someone who can develop both hiring leaders and team members is a must.

This individual will have a bias for action, will be process driven, and an excellent communicator who can handle challenging and competing priorities. This role requires experience working in a large and complex organization, ideally in a healthcare setting. The Recruiting Manager will bring with them experience in thinking critically to incorporate recruitment standard methodologies in a fast-paced environment and coaching recruiters to develop their consultative expertise. As a subject matter authority, they will establish relationships with key leaders throughout the system to showcase their expertise when it comes to identifying talent and exciting them about careers with IU Health. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with OFCCP (The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) recruitment practices.

Qualifications for the Recruiting Manager Role

  • Bachelors Degree Required or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant Human Resources experience required. Leadership experience preferred. Professional certifications such as SPHR, etc. preferred.
  • Requires experience leading the design, development, and execution of Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Requires working knowledge and understanding of several functional areas of Human Resources.
  • Requires experience leading and implementing sourcing and recruiting best practices.
  • Requires experience with matrix organization and complex work environment.
  • Requires experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions.
  • Requires experience coaching and developing professionals.
  • Able to guide the application of HR related regulations and laws (e.g. ; FLSA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.) , Basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) & Applicant Tracking System usage.
