Lower Umpqua Hospital District is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer. The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) has the responsibility of overseeing the standards of clinical practices for the organization’s Patient Care Services. The CNO serves as the Chief Nurse Executive forLUHD and participates with other members of Nursing Services and Administration in the development of patient care programs, policies and procedures to meet all requirements including ethical and legal concerns.

The CNO is responsible for the implementation of an effective and ongoing program to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and appropriateness of nursing and other direct patient related care. Provides leadership and mentoring for clinical staff and serves as the Risk Manager for the organization.
