Serves as a key resource and provides assistance in the implementation of Performance Improvement Plans approved by the Board of Directors and in accordance with the Kuakini Health System (KHS) mission to continuously improve the quality of health care service and programs, reviews medical records for core measures and clinical indicators, abstracts medical data from patient records, facilitates the peer review process, produces reports, and serves as internal consultant on Joint Commission standards
Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate of an accredited university or college; and a current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required. Master's degree in nursing or health field preferred. Minimum of 5 years direct patient care experience within the last 10 years or currently holding a coordinator/leadership level role within an acute care setting. Requires attention to detail, analytical skills, excellent communication skills and intermediate computer skills to include use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience in quality improvement methods and tools required. Knowledge of Core Measures or other publicly reported quality metrics required. Familiarity with Joint Commission surveys and standards as they relate to Performance Improvement and Peer review strongly preferred.
