The Director – Clinical Operations for Riley Children’s Health Critical Care will provide leadership in all facets of patient care and is accountable for the initiation and the completion of business and unit plans that ensure quality while utilizing available resources efficiently. This leader will provide administrative direction to the multi-disciplinary care center with an emphasis on quality management enhanced customer service.

Other opportunities include:

Aligning the center’s vision with the organization mission, values and goals
Leading all aspects of 5 critical areas of operation including Pediatric ICU, Burn unit, Heart Center/Stepdown, CV and Cath Lab/ECMO Program with a span of control over 200+ team members
Relationship building, critical thinking, execution of business matters and leadership

Qualifications for the Clinical Operations Director Role

  • Masters of Nursing required.
  • State of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA required.
  • CCRN preferred.
  • Experience working in a critical care setting, preferably pediatrics.
  • 7+ years of extensive nursing and leadership experience.
  • In depth of understanding of the Career Advancement Program and the ability to articulate the nursing professional practice model and all nursing pay programs.
  • Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience building effective working relationships with physicians.
